This research began in 2017 and continued through thousands of interactions, hundreds of programs, and multiple formats school campuses, community centers, one-to-one sessions, group environments, virtual and hybrid models.

Youth services are fragmented by design
Families navigate tutors, coaches, mentors, camps, centers, and informal networks none connected, none consistent. The problem is not demand; it is decentralization.
Human compatibility determines outcomes
Across all formats, the strongest predictor of progress was alignment between the child and the provider not price, content, or curriculum. Engagement patterns revealed this repeatedly.
Providers thrive with autonomy
When providers set their own price, format, age range, and schedule, their performance, satisfaction, and stability improved significantly. Institutional constraint reduced quality; autonomy amplified it.
Families require flexibility, not commitment
Pay-as-you-go behavior was consistent across demographics. Families used more services when commitment pressure was removed. This held true even when services were offered for free.
